Jakarta, October 28, 2024 – Chandra Asri Pacific, a subsidiary of Barito Pacific specializing in energy, chemical, and infrastructure solutions, announced a collaboration with Biofront to invest in the procurement and collection of biofuel (BBN) feedstock. This strategic initiative will leverage Biofront’s used cooking oil (“UCO”) collection units, known as TUKR, across Indonesia. The partnership represents a concerted effort to support Indonesia's goal of achieving Net Zero Emissions (NZE) by 2060.
Through this collaboration, used cooking oil sourced from food production in restaurants, hotels, malls, and various other outlets will be transported to bio-refineries to produce environmentally friendly fuels, including Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF).
The Chandra Asri Group has also successfully obtained the International Sustainability and Carbon Certification (ISCC), a globally recognized certification for environmentally responsible production. This certification confirms that Chandra Asri Group's facilities meet the requirements to process bio-based feedstock into bio-based products such as Bio-Propylene, Bio-Ethylene, Bio-Crude C4, and Bio-Pygas.
