On February 18, 2025, Yayasan Bakti Barito, Barito Renewables, together with Star Energy Geothermal, a subsidiary of Barito Renewables, attended the Java-Wide Leopard Survey (JWLS) Half-Step Notes event at the Manggala Wanabakti Building, Ministry of Forestry of the Republic of Indonesia.

JWLS is an important study that examines the population structure of the Javan leopard and its prey preferences on Java Island. This program is led by the Director of Species and Genetic Conservation (KSG), Directorate General of Natural Resources and Ecosystem Conservation, in collaboration with various parties, including the SINTAS Indonesia Foundation, Perhutani, local NGOs, universities, and nature lover communities.

We gratefully accept the appreciation from the KSG Directorate for its contribution in supporting the smooth running of this study. Hopefully this small step can be a broader inspiration to maintain the balance of the ecosystem and the sustainability of wildlife in Indonesia.
