Bakti Barito Foundation Together With Other Companies Signed a Pact With Central Java Province for the Advancement of the Vocational Schools in Indonesia

Jakarta, 16 September 2021 - Bakti Barito Foundation as a representative of Barito Pacific Group signed a cooperation pact between the industrial sector and the Education and Culture Office of Central Java Province for the development and advancement of the Vocational School of the Republic of Indonesia on Monday, 13 September 2021 in Solo, Central Java.

Djarum Foundation, Eka Tjipta Foundation, Sinar Mas, Agung Sedayu Group, Indofood, Astra International, Wings Group, Triputra, and Garudafood also participated in this joint effort. The signing of the pact was witnessed by the Minister of Education and Culture of Indonesia, Nadiem Makarim and the Mayor of Solo, Gibran Rakabuming.

A number of projects to be implemented under this collaboration include revitalizing infrastructures, improving teaching-learning tools, enhancing soft skills, developing ‘link and match programs’ between Vocational Schools (SMK) in greater Surakarta and the market or industrial sector, as well as other projects that will be agreed upon by all parties involved.

Barito Pacific Group's participation in this collaboration is a form of our commitment to support the Indonesian government's efforts to further advance the quality of vocational education and human resources in the education sector.
